BIOLOX®delta in Focus: CeramTec Programme on October 22 at DKOU 2026

CeramTec presents its BIOLOX®delta portfolio for hip and knee arthroplasty at DKOU 2026 in Berlin, October 20-23, 2026. At booth #A51 in Hall A, the focus will be on personal exchange around ceramic solutions for orthopaedic care.

On the Thursday of the congress,: under the motto “Thursday, October 22: Your Day with BIOLOX®”, CeramTec brings together scientific discussion, surgical practice, and professional exchange. During the lunch symposium, international experts will discuss clinical evidence, bearing surface selection strategies, and long-term outcomes of ceramic-on-ceramic bearings in total hip arthroplasty.

In the afternoon, CeramTec supports the World Surgery Tour by Rimasys with a live demonstration of BIOLOX®delta ceramic-ceramic hip resurfacing ReCerf® system in cooperation with Stemcup and Adler Ortho.

The day's program concludes with the BIOLOX® Get-Together at booth A51 from 5:00 PM. Over pretzels and refreshments, attendees will have an opportunity to exchange ideas with experts and colleagues from across the orthopaedic industry.

Heinz Mittelmeier Award: Innovation for Metal-Free Orthopaedics

On Friday, October 23, the Heinz Mittelmeier Award will be presented at DKOU. Sponsored by CeramTec andwith a €5,000 endowment, the DGOOC award recognizses innovations and scientific work advancing metal-free orthopaedics and trauma surgery.

Since 2003, the award has recognized early-career professionals up to the age of 45 for research ranging from metal-free implant solutions to clinical and health economics analyses.
